MILITARY SPECIFICATION
REGULATOR, CHEST MOUNTED, POSITIVE PRESSURE, CRU-82/P
This specification is approved for use by the Naval Air Systems Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements for a positive pressure, chest mounted regulator. This regulator will be used as part of an aircraft on-board oxygen generating system (OBOGS) or an aircraft liquid oxygen system (LOX) to provide breathing gas on demand. This regulator will provide safety pressure under all conditions as well as positive pressure breathing at altitudes above 34,000 ft.
