Attach identification label to the "Shipping Gaurd" or "Housing Sheetmetal" as applicable. The label may wrap around one sheetmetal corner if necessary. Commercially available "Mylar Tape" self adhesive labels shall be used. The label shall read "Cyl Assy, Emerg 0xy" on the 1st line and the applicable PIN shall be shown on the
2nd line (see table I).
Leak test - Charge each assembly to 2100 psig pressure with type I oxygen conforming to MIL-0-27210. Submerge each charged assembly in water to cover the complete assembly except the gage. The connection between the gage and valve shall be covered. Development of air bubbles after being submerged for 30 seconds shall be cause for rejection.
Alternate methods - Charge each assembly as specified above. After charging, record the pressure gage indication. Record the pressure gage indication after three weeks. Any decrease in gage indication shall be cause for rejection.
After completion of the leak test, the cylinder assembly shall be individually packaged and shipped fully charged to
2100 psig, using MIL-0-27210 oxygen.
Referenced documents shall be of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bid.
