5.2.3 Level C.
The level C packing of mask assemblies shall conform to
MIL-STD-2073-1.
5.3 Marking. Unit, intermediate and shipping containers shall be
marked in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-129 (see 6.2j).
The following precautionary marking shall

5.3.2 Additional marking. In addition, the following shall be marked
on all packages and containers:
WHENEVER POSSIBLE, STORE MASKS AT TEMPERATURE OF 32° to 80°F

6.1 Intended use. The combination oxygen and smoke mask assemblies
covered by this specification are for use in dispensing gaseous oxygen from
demand regulators to aircrew members and to protect flight crews from the
harmful effect of smoke, carbon monoxide, or other incapacitating gases.
Acquisition requirements.
6.2.
Acquisition documents must specify the
following:
Title, number, and date of this specification (including amendments).
a.
Applicable type of mask assembly required (see 1.2).
b.
c. Issue of DODISS to be citied in the solicitation , and if required,
the specific issue of individual documents referenced (see 2.1.1. and
2.2.)
Applicable drawing and part number of mask required (see 3.5).
d.
Dynamic microphone required (see 3.5.1.2).
e.
Whether first article inspection is waived (see 4.4.1)
f.
Name and address of the first article inspection test facility
g.
(see 4.4.1) and the name and address of the Government activity
responsible for conducting the first article inspection program (see
4.4.1.1 and 6.5).
h.
Name and address of the quality conformance verification inspection
laboratory (see 4.5.2.1) and the name and address of the Government
activity responsible for conducting the quality conformance
verification inspection program (see 4.5.2.1).
