Weight.
The total weight of the valve shall not exceed 3 pounds.
3.8
Identification of product.
The valve shall be marked for identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130 and shall include
at least the following information:

Manufacturer s Part No.
Manufacturer s Identification
U.S. MXXXXX-X (see 6.5)
Date of Manufacture: MFD (Month)(Year) 2/
1/ Enter the applicable designation (VAU-45(V)1/A, VAU-45(V)2/A, or VAU-45(V)3/A here.
2/ The manufactured date may be stamped on the valve rather than marked on the
nameplate and shall be as permanent as the normal life expectancy of the valve.
3.8.1 Ports.
All inlet and outlet ports shall be clearly identified by permanent markings.
3.8.2 Press-to-test button.
The valve shall have a permanent marking on the top of the press-to-test button to identify it as
a "HI FLOW" for the VAU-45(V)1/A and as "HF PBG" for VAU-45(V)2/A and VAU-45(V)3/A.
The press-to-test button shall enable manual simulation of acceleration forces.
3.8.3 Direction of acceleration force.
The valve shall be marked with an arrow in accordance with figures 1, 2, or 3 denoting the
direction the influencing acceleration force shall be applied.
3.8.4 Workmanship.
The valves shall be uniform in quality and shall be free from irregularities, defects, or foreign
matter which could adversely affect safety, performance, reliability, or durability.
